Warner-Feingold would be an unbeatable ticket for the Democrats in 2008

Sorry for no updates in December, but everything is slow and there really wasn't much movement. I suspect we will see Bill Richardson disappear from this tally within a few months. There are embarassing and troubling stories about to break about the NM governor. I would say Richardson is a long long shot even for VP now.

On the GOP side, the big development was Gov. Mark Sanford of South Carolina taking himself out of contention. Sanford is a smart guy - he had virtually no chance of securing the nomination and couldn't have beaten anyone except possibly John Kerry.
